Watermelon Theme
TALK:
Summer is the perfect time for watermelon!
Show kids pictures of watermelon or show a real watermelon. Ask if they know what it is? What color is? Do you think green inside too? Ask if they tasted watermelon- describe its taste? sweet, or sour? What does the watermelon feel like- is it rough, or smooth? Is light or heavy? We are going to share books today all about watermelons. According to the website www.holidayinsights.com/waterrmelon.htm August 3rd is National Watermelon Day!
