SONGS/ RHYMES:
FINGERPLAY: Ten Little Cowboys
Ten little cowboys standing in a row ( hold up 10 fingers)
When they see the pretty cowgirl,
They bow just so ( bend fingers down)
They ride to the left (hands move left)
And they ride to the right (move hands to right)
And then they shut their eyes (close eyes & hands)
And sleep all night. (put cheek on hands)

ACTION SONG: I’m a Little Cowboy or Cowgirl
I’m a little cowboy.
Here is my hat.
Here are my boots,
And here are my chaps.
When I get up,
I work all day,
Get on my horse
And ride away!
*tune of I’m a Little Teapot

Then, we sang “I’ve Been Riding On the Range” which I found on the CCPL website. Credit Liblove.wordpress
(To the tune of “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”)
I’ve been riding on the range,
All the livelong day.
I’ve been riding on the range,
Herding doggies on their way.
Can’t you hear the cowboys shouting,
“Yippy-oh-ky-yay!”
Can’t you hear the cowboys shouting,
“Doggies move this way!”
